Condition
We never sell anything we would not be proud to wear ourselves. Sometimes if we fall in love with a piece for its history, look, colour, or style - then we may be a little more tolerant of a bit of wear. We believe that vintage pieces are special because they have that provenance and history, and that is sometimes reflected in its unique patina.
In general, most vintage and some preloved pieces often have minor imperfections which we try our very best to reflect every piece as accurately an honestly as we can in our photography.
How we classify the condition of our pieces
New - pieces that have never been worn and are in pristine condition.
Mint condition - pieces that in near perfect condition. They look as if they have never been worn or have been looked after exceptionally well.
Excellent condition - pieces that look hardly used, there may be a few tiny little scratches or marks that can only be seen if you look closely and unnoticeable when worn.
Very good condition - pieces that look a little used, minor scratches, chips or marks from years of wear or storage but consistent with age and adds to vintage patina and charm. There will not be any structural or functional problems.
Taking care of your jewellery
Signs of age add to the unique appeal and story of your precious pieces, but to minimise unwanted damage try to avoid liquids, make up and hair products and where possible try to store flat in packaging to avoid storage wear and tear.
We are always happy to make any repairs whether you have purchased through our store or not.
